Very Cool Recycled Baby Tees

Liesbeth Soeterbroek from Amsterdam has a great sense of fashion. She started Dressme 3 years ago after her son was born. Already a fashion designer, she wanted to make funky, unique clothes for him--so she decided to use recycled fabrics. I just couldn't resist and had to order a couple of shirts on Etsy. Each t-shirt is one-of-a-kind and will ship from the Netherlands.

Check it out at Dressme Store.

Discover Homeopathy

I'm sure you read last week about the FDA's concerns regarding cold and cough medicines for children under the age of 6. So where does that leave you when your child is sick with a cold, stuffy nose, (etc.)? Homeopathy may be the answer. Growing up in France, my parents only used homeopathy to help me cope with common colds and typical child ailments. And it worked. For those not familiar with homeopathy, Helios Homeopathic Remedy Kits are ideal for newcomers.

Each kit contains a range of homeopathic remedies which are useful in treating the most common home ailments and many first-aid situations.

To find more about homeopathy, check out Homeopathy World.

Blog Action Day: Idle-Free Zone at School

Air pollution is a serious threat to the well-being of our children. Numerous medical studies have shown that pollution levels affect the respiratory health of both children and adults. One way to reduce harmful emissions, especially around children, is to turn off your engine while dropping off and picking up your kids at school--and help create an Idle-Free Zone that other parents will adhere to.

Believe it or not, more than 10 seconds of idling uses more fuel than restarting the engine. As a rule of thumb, if you're going to stop for 10 seconds or more – except in traffic – turn the engine off. Your vehicle won't produce harmful emissions of carbon dioxide, and your kids will breathe better.

To learn more about idling and its effects, check out Canada's Idle Free Zone website.

Baby Greens Organic

Baby Greens organic onesies and tees are inspired by nature and Japanese design. Each design has a special meaning: Nami (wave); Surya (sun); Koru (genesis of life); and Kaze San (wind and sun). I really love the graphics and the fact that they're hand-printed with water-based ink.
