Cardboard Castle from Mr McGroovy

Mr. McGroovy's Box Rivets™ grew out of a project idea from Mr MCGroovy days as an art teacher. Building box structures is an absolutely great activity for kids, so... when his son turned five and needed a backyard castle for his “knights and princesses” party theme they built it themselves. The response from parents and other children at the party encouraged him to share this great activity, and the idea for Mr. McGroovy's was born. It is brilliant and easy, i tried it with my kids and they love their "dinosaur" and "princess" castle. It was a great family project.

Bisphenol-A free Baby Bottles

Is your baby's bottle toxic? Baby's Toxic Bottles, a study by a team of US and Canadian researchers has shown that plastic polycarbonate baby bottles leach dangerous levels of Bisphenol-A (BPA) when heated. All five brands tested,Evenflo, Dr Browns, Avent, Playtex and Gerber, leached BPA. Adults should also be aware of the dangers as popular "Nalgene" bottles and other water bottles are made of the same type of plastic.

BPA, a common component in clear plastic, is a hormone-disrupting synthetic estrogen. According to the study, even at very low doses, BPA’s mimicry of estrogen resulted in an array of health maladies including prostate and breast cancer, early onset of puberty, obesity, hyperactivity, lowered sperm count, miscarriage, diabetes, and altered immune system in animal studies. The hormone like chemical could be the reason for overall rates of lower sperm counts, faster onset of puberty, and increased prostate cancer in humans.

The good news is that you have now great alternative to polycarbonate baby bottles, Adiri Natural Nurser and Green to Grow are both free of BPA and phthalate, another chemicals suspected of lowering testosterone in men.
