Safe Sunscreen Guide by EWG

Finding a safe sunscreen for you and your kids may be challenging. EWG (Environmental Working Group) did the work for you. They have a list of the 10 safest sunscreen with reviews from customers so you can choose which one is going to work best for you. There are a lot of chemicals in sunscreen like oxybenzone, a hormone disruptor ingredient. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has found detectable levels of oxybenzone in the urine of 97% of Americans over the age of six. In laboratory tests, oxybenzone been shown to disrupt the endocrine system and release reactive oxygen species that could contribute to skin cancer. Up to 9% of oxybenzone applied to the skin absorbs into living tissues and blood vessels below the surface. So be safe this summer.
